vote "Everett" District 35 Pearlcity | Waipahu | Crestview
Born and raised in Waipahu, I am a proud daughter of Hawai‘i—shaped by the streets, strengthened by the struggle, and empowered by the people.
I’m not just running for office—I’m rising from the very struggles I seek to change.
I am Christina Everett, a mother, a survivor, and a community advocate who has lived through what many in our district silently endure. I have been abused by the system, a victim of human trafficking, and a survivor of domestic violence. I carry the scars of injustice, not as shame—but as fuel for change.
I’m not speaking from statistics alone—I’m speaking from experience.
I’m a wife, mother of seven, grandmother of seven, community advocate, and founder of Project Nehemiah Hawai‘i, a nonprofit that serves victims of human trafficking, domestic abuse, and vulnerable families across our islands. I host the free "Hope Awareness" Community events throughout the State of Hawaii. I'm the corporate secretary of He Ala Hou O Ke Ola Inc (clinical clean and sober program facility in Hawaii), Director of Savinghawaii, org, and a pastor at International River of Life Christian Center.
I am the author of eight books:
With a lifetime of service, I have dedicated myself to defending those who are overlooked and unheard. I have walked alongside families in crisis, advocated in our legislature, and built bridges between government, faith, and community.
Now, I’m running to represent House District 35 because I believe our leaders should come from the people—not politics. My mission is to restore accountability, amplify your voice, and bring real solutions to the issues affecting our homes, schools, and streets.
I’m not backed by lobbyists—I’m built by neighbors.
Let’s stand together, speak up, and build a future where our keiki are protected, our kupuna are honored, and every voice is heard.
1. Combating Human Trafficking and Exploitation
Human trafficking is a grave issue in Hawaiʻi, impacting vulnerable populations including children in the welfare and juvenile justice systems, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders, migrant laborers, and individuals with substance use issues . Traffickers exploit these individuals through force, fraud, and coercion, leading to both labor and sex trafficking.
I am committed to:
2. Addressing Gang Violence and Organized Crime
Gang-related activities have been on the rise, with increases in drug violations, gambling offenses, and homicides . Organized crime syndicates, such as "The Company," have historically influenced criminal activities in Hawaiʻi, including drug trafficking and extortion.
My plan includes:
3. Protecting Our Keiki and Kupuna
Our children and elders are the most vulnerable. I will:
4. Restoring Trust and Transparency
People feel left out of decisions that impact their lives. I will be the voice in the room that speaks for the single mother, the struggling father, the community organizer, and the auntie raising her moʻopuna. Transparency, accountability, and accessibility are not optional—they’re my promise.
“Our families are being squeezed—by rising HOA fees and outrageous land taxes. I’m running to give homeowners a voice in the Capitol. You work hard, and you should be able to stay in your home without fear of losing it to fees, fines, or tax hikes.”
“As your State Representative, I will fight to pass legislation that holds HOA boards accountable and puts protections in place for homeowners. I’ll also push for land tax relief for working families and our kūpuna—because no one should be taxed out of the home they built their life in.”
